  • Valid driving licence (minimum [1 year] of driving experience) required — original + copy uploaded during ZEM Driver Verification
  • Minimum age: [21] years
  • Valid government photo ID (Aadhaar / Passport / Voter ID) in addition to your licence
  • Approval happens before payment — you won't be charged until your documents and booking are confirmed by the ZEM team
  • A refundable security deposit of ₹[X,000] (varies by car category — hatchback / SUV / 7-seater) is collected at pickup
  • Deposit is refunded within [3–5 business days] of the vehicle being returned in its original condition, minus any deductions for damage, missing fuel, or violations noted below
  • Deposit can be paid via [UPI / card / cash] at handover
  • Cars are handed over with a [full tank / noted fuel level] and must be returned at the same level
  • If returned with less fuel, the shortfall is charged at [₹X/litre above local pump price] to cover refuelling logistics
  • Fuel costs during the rental period are the renter's responsibility
  • Free cancellation up to [24 hours] before your pickup time
  • Cancellations within [24 hours] of pickup: [50%] of the booking amount is retained
  • No-shows (not arriving within [1 hour] of scheduled pickup without notice): booking amount is forfeited
  • Rescheduling is free up to [X] time(s) per booking, subject to vehicle availability — message us on WhatsApp to reschedule
  • All ZEM vehicles carry standard motor insurance as required by law
  • The renter is responsible for any damage caused during the rental period, including dents and scratches — these are not considered minor wear and tear and will be charged; minor wear and tear (e.g. small marks from normal use) is not charged
  • In case of an accident: contact ZEM support immediately at [+91 99885 62563], file a police report if required by law, and do not attempt repairs yourself
  • [Optional damage waiver / zero-deposit protection plan — consider adding a paid add-on here]
  • Manipal: Free delivery/pickup at selected campus points (Hostels, GHS Area, VIP Gate, and other supported locations — confirmed at booking)
  • Jaipur: Free pickup at the ZEM office; ₹299 per side for Airport, Railway Station, or doorstep delivery anywhere in the city
  • Late return: a grace period of [30 minutes] is allowed; beyond that, an additional [hourly/daily] rate applies
  • Original driving licence
  • Original government photo ID
  • Confirmation SMS/WhatsApp message from ZEM Cars
  • Approval to rent does not exempt you from following traffic law, carrying valid documents, or cooperating with police checks if stopped
  • No sub-renting the vehicle to a third party
  • No use of the vehicle outside the agreed rental region without informing ZEM support in advance (relevant for outstation Rajasthan trips)

You verify your documents first, ZEM confirms availability and approves your booking, and only then do you pay — no upfront payment before approval.
